Cuisine Catalan cuisine is varied and rich. It is typically Mediterranean consisting primarily of fish and other seafood served with olive oil, rice, pasta, olives, and fresh vegetables. Try some traditional dishes while on holiday, most recommended are Escudella I Carn Dolla, a vegetable soup with chicken, veal, and pork; and Pa Amb Tomaquet, a classic cuisine that consists of rustic bread which is usually toasted, dressed with salt and oil, and rubbed with fresh tomato pulp.
